The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) founded in 1954, is the largest Christ centered sports ministry in the world. The four ministries of FCA are Coaches, Campus, Camps and Community. Our mission is "to present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church". FCA advances its mission though the core values of Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.
At the heart of FCA are coaches. Dr. Billy Graham said, "A coach has more influence on a child in a single season, than a pastor can have in a lifetime". We facilitate Bible studies for coaches and coordinate chaplains to serve with their teams. We also establish clubs on middle school, high school and college campuses, which are called "Huddle Groups". Huddles are designed to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ and provide students with a positive peer group. Currently, we have over 8,000 huddles (120 in Central Florida) with an estimated 500,000 students involved. FCA annually hosts over 300 summer camps, where over 50,000 students attend (over 1,200 from Central Florida).
